Frequently Asked Questions
What types of carbon materials do you offer?
We offer a diverse range of advanced carbon materials, including mesoporous carbon for next-generation batteries such as silicon-carbon anodes, lithium-sulfur batteries, and supercapacitors, and nanoporous carbon as a catalyst support for catalysis applications such as hydrogen fuel cells and electrolysis. We specialize in providing high-quality carbon-supported catalyst materials tailored for various industrial and research applications.
What is the price of NCP and MCP?
Pricing depends on purity requirements, whether high-temperature or post-treatment is needed, and the quantity and supply terms. We’ve published an article explaining what drives the cost of NCP and MCP 👉Mesoporous carbon cost explained. For small quantities, pricing is available in our sample shop. For larger volumes, contact us to discuss your required quantity and supply timeframe for more accurate pricing.
What is the difference between NCP and MCP?
They are produced from different carbon precursors. NCP is made from naphthalene-based mesophase pitch, while MCP is produced from lower-cost pitch materials. As a result, NCP is purer. By comparison, MCP contains sulfur (typically <0.1%) and trace-level magnetic impurities.
